Jesira J.

500hr+ E-RYT, founder of irā yoga.

In 2017, shortly after graduating, I followed a call to adventure and moved to California with an open heart and curious spirit. Although I had already been practicing yoga in Germany for several years, I hadn’t yet touched the deeper layers of what this practice truly offers.

It was in Santa Cruz where things shifted. I began attending classes regularly, and eventually took the leap into my first Yoga Teacher Training. Since then, yoga has gradually (and at times, powerfully) transformed how I move through the world. It has reshaped my inner and outer perception in ways I never imagined.

A handful of shorter and several deeply immersive trainings later, I feel honored to continue learning from incredible teachers across the globe. With every step, my passion grows, and I can’t wait to share this ever-evolving journey with curious, open minds.

My personal practice is a dynamic blend of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Bhakti, and Yin. I love practicing in community or alone, and always feel most alive in warmth and heat.

My teaching style is strong, alignment-focused, and intuitively guided. It’s rooted in the discipline of Ashtanga, the creative flow of Vinyasa, the devotional heart of Bhakti, and a deep reverence for breath and inner listening.

Movement is my language. Whether that is through asana, dance, hiking, or cycling. I draw endless joy and inspiration from music, art, and mindful nourishment.

With my whole heart, I pour love and intention into irā yoga. I feel so grateful to connect in kula (community) and invite you to join me on this path.

Let’s yoke.
