Tsveta:

I discovered movement early in life through figure skating and other athletic pursuits. While those experiences taught me dedication and discipline, I often struggled with the competitive nature that surrounded them. When an injury led me to yoga, it opened a doorway into a new kind of movement - one guided by breath, awareness, and deeper purpose. Yoga became a space where I could reconnect, not just with my body, but with myself.

My teaching is rooted in the tradition and discipline of Ashtanga yoga and inspired by the intuitive and modern flow of Awakening Yoga. Each class is a reminder that no matter what happens around us, we can always return home - to ourselves, to our breath, to our inner stillness. My sequences blend strength and flexibility in a way that honors both stability and softness, a balance I’ve come to value deeply through my own experience with hypermobility.

Through yoga, I’ve found not only healing but purpose. This practice has opened my heart and my eyes in ways I’ll always be grateful for. I truly believe that if we want to change the world, we have to start with ourselves first - and that every time we show up on the mat, we take a step toward that. More than anything, I hope my teaching serves as an invitation - to look inward, to move with intention, and to remember that real change begins within.

Mara:

Growing up, I explored many different sports and forms of movement, but never truly felt at home in any of them – until I discovered yoga. At first, I was drawn to the physical aspect of the practice: getting stronger, becoming more flexible, and learning to master challenging poses. But over time, I realized that yoga is so much more than just movement. It has become a journey – one that continually leads me closer to myself, to my body, and to the present moment. And that journey is still unfolding with every class, whether I practice or teach.

For me, yoga today is about cultivating mindfulness and creating a genuine connection with the body – appreciating its strengths and honouring its boundaries. In my teaching, I invite students to explore this connection within themselves: to move with awareness, to meet themselves with compassion, and to find presence in both stillness and flow. My classes are mindful, calm, and yet powerful in their own way – intuitive and somatic. They go beyond physical shapes, offering space to come home to the body and to oneself.

Another pathway I use to support this process and to guide the body into a deep state of relaxation is sound. Through vibration and resonance, the practice settles, softens, and sinks deeper – allowing body and mind to align.

Each class is an invitation to move with intention, to listen inwardly, and to experience the body not just as a vessel, but as a guide toward the quiet strength that lives within.
